ABOUT US

Jeanie Engelbach | Founder & Boss Lady

Jeanie possesses an innate ability to see what sparkles and shines amidst disorganization, chaos and clutter, it’s no wonder why Town & Country magazine dubbed her ‘the chaos conqueror’.

For over 20 years, Jeanie has been professionally streamlining and designing the homes of Oscar, Emmy and Tony award winners, New York Times best selling authors and countless others in dire need of organization and decorating decisions.

Prior to starting her interior design and organization agency, apartmentjeanie, Jeanie honed her display skills at Bergdorf Goodman and ABC Carpet & Home. Applying a keen sense of aesthetics, the capacity to edit and acute observations, Jeanie provides her clients with what has often been described as a therapeutic and life changing experience.

Jeanie’s success hinges on understanding and anticipating how she can better serve her client. The design core of apartmentjeanie is to implement what the client already owns by recycling with purpose, allowing for the final result to be a true reflection of the individual’s taste and style.

Jeanie bounces between her ride or die, New York City and her side piece Charleston, SC with her sweet, but very bossy bulldog, Creme Brulee, yet will travel to wherever mayhem & lack luster interior design lurks.

Jessica Sheppard | operations

With the can-do spirit of Texas high school cheerleader on a Friday night and the disposition of a Buddhist monk, Jessica is our Swiss Army knife - she has a solution and tool for every task and situation. Wearer of many (stylish) hats, among being the first point of contact for potential clients and the communication hub for current ones.

With a long career in media, specifically business development, marketing and advertising, Jessica is the ideal apartmentjeanie operations director, although we’re positive overseeing multiple national campaigns is far less stressful than managing a staff of ‘creatives’.

Jessica may not be a hands-on participant for our on-site projects, she is passionate about the client experience and strives to ensure each interaction is injected with an extra dose of sweetness and satisfaction.

Lisa Conrad, design organizer

Lisa Conrad | organizer & project manager

A textile and color enthusiast, Lisa was a fabric production manager for Vince Camuto and Oscar de la Renta, which she puts to use in our clients’ closets. She applies her logistical and luxury experience to design efficient and aesthetic spaces.

She is skilled at developing intuitive systems throughout the home, and clients can’t get enough of her niche for tackling tedious drawers and unsightly wires!

Lisa has moved 10(!) times in NYC, and lived in 4 of the 5 boros, which makes her indispensable on move management projects. She also proudly owns over 40+ plants, establishing her as the resident plant expert!

Lisa Radisay | design & organization

A self proclaimed (although we totally agree) ’Professional Pretty Maker’ and native So-Cal girl, Lisa has spent her 20+ year career in the luxury fashion design world. She has built an impressive metier as a leader in visual display and store design for Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, J. Mendel and The RealReal.

Lisa not only has an elevated taste level to amplify luxury fashion brands, she also has a depth of operational and practical knowledge that translates seamlessly into home design and organization. This ensures that our ‘Professional Pretty Maker’ knows how to make your space glam and glow, she also applies function, ease & flow as the highest priority.

Lisa has traveled the world for work, but calls Brooklyn home with her little in size, but big in personality dog, Max. When she isn’t creating custom curated lifestyle experiences for our clients, she can be found hustling unsuspecting pool sharks at the table.

Erin Donley | design & organization

Hailing from the Windy City, Erin Donley is an award-winning prop stylist who has been designing interiors for Fortune 500 companies, leading lifestyle brands and private residences.

Before moving to NYC, Erin was styling catalog shoots at Crate and Barrel’s headquarters which lead to a career in home staging.  A talent that allows her to incorporate functional storage and organization into her skilled designs. This creative combination makes Erin a valuable organizing and styling dynamo – exactly what our clients crave.

Erin lives in Brooklyn with her chef husband and their baby girl which means there is plenty cooking in her highly organized (and kid friendly) kitchen.

Margaret Pickron | design & organization

A lover of all things organized and exceptional design, Margaret joined apartmentjeanie in 2018. Margaret’s previous experience as a senior director of men’s merchandising at Ralph Lauren gives her unique insight into the art of discerning clients’ needs and answering them with thoughtful solutions that create functional, organized, and beautiful spaces.

From furniture curation and color selections to wardrobe editing and kitchen organization, Margaret brings both passion and experience to apartmentjeanie clients; her ultimate goal is making their home lives more productive and enjoyable!

Margaret is married to her college sweetheart (awww) and is the mother of two children - which makes her the guru for creative kid spaces.

Nic Sexton | design & organization

Spreading sunshine wherever they go, Buenos Aires born and Florida raised Nic sharpened their design and styling skills at West Elm while acquiring a degree in Interior Design. Nic is a true connoisseur of vintage furniture and respects practicality and sustainability without sacrificing personality and authenticity. Their expertise is making a space feel completely unique and personal while still being beautifully organized and easy to maintain.

Influenced at a young age by their kindergarten teacher mother, Nic has a knack for finding the balance between design and organization for kid-friendly spaces.

This Spanish speaking Brooklynite lives with their massage therapist partner making Nic a great resource for creating a spa-like, calming space - exactly what our clients crave when they come home!

Ryan Romanowski | lead designer

Originally from the Hudson Valley, Ryan met Jeanie many years ago while he was shaking and stirring cocktails in a bar in Charleston.  Having attended FIT for interior design, Ryan has an unrequited love for thoughtful and creative spaces.

No longer crafting the perfect custom libation, Ryan now uses his skill set to shake up the overall design of client spaces. Ryan has a knack for mixing just the right amount of beautiful and unique furniture, objects of art, and curated pieces; serving up spaces that feel cohesive while simultaneously reflecting the personality of the client. Ryan believes that all pieces should be loved by their owner and that design solutions should be sensible and clever with a nod to history and wink toward the future.

Still living in and loving South Carolina, Ryan is the face and boots on the ground of our Charleston office.
